1. Website Management

The www.sevenoaksfirewood.co.uk website is operated by Sevenoaks Firewood Limited and the purchase of goods from this website is governed by these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.

 

2. Purchase Contract

To place an order on our website you must be eighteen years old or over. We will confirm acceptance of your order within 24 hours of receiving the order. We will do this either by email after you have submitted your order or by telephone. We may do both, in which case acceptance will deem to be whichever arrived the soonest. Please check your junk mail for our emails.

 

3. Prices and Delivery Charges

The price you will pay will be the website price at the time you placed your order, subject only to any inadvertent technical error for which we will not be liable. We offer free delivery to postcodes listed on delivery page of our website. There is a £40 minimum spend on all orders. We also offer delivery to other postcodes that carry a £10 delivery charge, these are also listed on the delivery page of our website. 

4. Promotions

We may from time to time make promotional offers on the purchase of goods through our website. In this event the terms of any such promotional offer will be subject to these terms and conditions. We may change the terms of any promotions, or withdraw them altogether, at any time and without prior notice. We reserve the right to offer different promotions to different customers at our complete discretion. Refunds given on any purchase subject to a promotional offer will be given on the terms of that promotion and the promotional price. With your consent, we may also contact you via email or post to let you know of these promotions, you can at any time opt out of this service.

 

5. Methods of Payment and SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment: If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).

Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Orders must be paid online or by bank transfer. We do not accept payment by cheque or cash. We are unable to accept credit or debit cards over the telephone. 

Debit and Credit cards are free to use. The debit and credit cards accepted by us are those listed on the website on the date on which your order is placed. We will take payment from your card at point of sale when completing the payment section on this website. We reserve the right to terminate our agreement with you if we are refused authority for payment at any time.

You agree to indemnify us in full against all costs expenses and outgoings incurred by us in obtaining payments from you in the event a failed payment occurs. This will include an administration charge of not less than £20. We may at any time after a failed payment has occurred ask a debt collection agency to collect payment from you.

If payment is made by debit/credit card and the delivery address is different from registered payment address, both registered payment address and delivery address must be listed on the order page.

 

6. Delivery

Products are subject to availability. We may limit the quantities of goods (particularly goods on special offer) supplied to any one customer if in our opinion the quantity ordered jeopardises availability for other customers orders. We will always supply you with the full quantity that you have ordered. In the event that the goods delivered to you are incomplete or include incorrect goods, you must notify us promptly. We will confirm a delivery day with you when you submit your order by email. Whilst we make every effort to deliver your order on the agreed day we will not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control. If we fail to deliver on the agreed day then we will endeavour to contact you as soon as we are able to reschedule your delivery. If we are unable to supply any of the items in your order we will contact you to agree appropriate substitutions or actions.

 

7. Changes and cancellation

You can amend your order or cancel it. You must do this by either contacting us by telephone or email.

If an order has been placed in error or is not wanted after it has been delivered and the transaction completed, we can not refund the order.

 

8. Defective Goods

We guarantee the quality of our goods. You must inspect the goods and notify us promptly by either informing the delivery person, telephone or email of any dissatisfaction with your order. For the goods that do not meet with your reasonable satisfaction we will arrange with you for them to be collected and at your discretion. We will then either fully refund you for them or replace them.

 

9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms of service will exclude our liability for personal injury or death caused by our negligence.

We will not be liable to you if our performance is delayed or fails due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control including, but not limited to, fire, flood, strikes, riot, accident, civil commotion, disruption to energy supplies, and act of terrorism or war.

We will not be liable to you or any third party for any consequential or incidental loss.

Our maximum liability to you arising from any order and the subsequent supply of goods will be limited to the retail price of the goods contained in that order and the cost of delivery.

 

11. General

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English Courts.

If any of these Terms and Conditions is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Terms and Conditions which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
